Hi All!
I wanted to show you a photo of what the snow looks like in March, in Buffalo, New York. This is the city where I was born and lived for over 40 years. This is a view from the side door of my home. I lived on a corner. You can see the 2 streets. One on the side and one in front. This amount of snow is mild for us. I miss the snow now that I am living in San Antonio, Texas. The snow can be so beautiful and peaceful, perfect for mediation.

A friend and list member sent me a photo of her backyard from a storm just about 2 weeks ago in Arkansas, also March. She says she meditates back there. What a beautiful place to free yourself from thoughts and memories. Thank you Tonya! Here is what she says about her spot:
"This is a picture of my "ESCAPE" I have a glorious pond in my back yard that I get to go out in the summer and lay in the soft grass and just listen and float away.. of course I live pretty close to the lake too.. so when I really need to "get away" I go down there and lay in the sand and listen to the water hit the edge of the sand. It's magnificent."
Meditation is the best way I have found to help free my subconscious of limiting beliefs. I highly recommend it. You will find many great meditation CD's downloadable on MP3 or for your IPod or CD's and tapes.
The most important thing is to remember that you are deserving of all the wonder that life can bring you.
I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me, I Love You, Thank You,
With Love,
Maryellen

Dear Maryellen:
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely pictures and your thoughts on meditation. I have been enjoying quieting my mind also and playing with different ways to do that. I am just now trying a method of meditating on a word or a concept, such as silence, or sometimes a question I've been pondering. I'm learning it can't be too "heady" a question though -- just something I hold lightly in my mind. The answers are sometimes surprising and sometimes beautiful -- like your photos.
Thank you for your blog and all you do.
Warm regards,
Sandra Winter
PS I'm going to be visiting San Antonio this summer. Maybe we can meet!
What a beautiful shot. Reminds me of growing up in Wisconsin.

Thanks so much for the wonderful snow pictures. I have never seen that much snow. I have lived in Florida for over 30 yrs now. I lived in Virginia on the east coast, no snow their either. One day I want to play in the deep snow! I need to get back into meditation. Been so long now I have trouble relaxing. I am working on it!!
Thank you!

Maryellen, again, you give, and you give, from deep within a vast ocean, that is you...What I enjoy much about the winter season, and have since I was a boy, is the calmness as seen within your photo as well... And so, last night, a newly fallen snow arrived, to provide us here in Michigan, what you see in your photo...And then with this new day, as the sun arose, shinning brightly, this arrived: ", a sound released from witin you, to reveal new octave heights, and ocean depths, a needed living story! That abundantly creates, to then release life! Thank you! For your story, your nature, your song, for being you! This that is felt in the rhythm shared and brightness shown, as your spirit, whispers today! This gift in you, which sings gloriously, with a majestic array of brightness! As it uncovers what is within us all! Today, as your gift, releases some to laugh, some to-begin-again, some to sing, some to compose, some to dance, and some, to find rest. This sound in you, that whispers; ... life, joyfully arise, and be! This sound, that is of the greatest, majestically, and wondrous creations! As it permeates, to then call forth the symphony within man and woman! The graciousness and awe stricken, beauty, that is felt, heard, and seen, as the rivers gather into one choreographed flow, as they dance over the Falls of Niagara! Can only hope to be, as what comes forth out of you, as You breath... " To you Maryellen, thank you, for being you... Robert Foster
